    Accel coils

My marauder has 77K and started doing some unusual things.

Intermittently it would High idle at 1200 and miss on about 2 cylinders, shut it off, and restart and it was fine....an electronic ghost.

After reading up on some posts, I decided it was most likely my coil packs.
So far this has been the fix for the intermittent problem.
Now it idles right, and is glass smooth accelerating.

Too bad the nifty yellow coils are covered!!..LOL

I never heard great things about the GMS coils or the accel coils. I stick with the Motorcraft coils with the GMS coil connector.

    The Summit coils are GMS

And my Accel coils are about the same. It just runs like a clock now

I have had the GMS solid wire connectors, They helped, I am keeping my old set for future use.
Only drawback is heat transfer to the coil thru the thick conductor.

And when you can get a whole set for $200 you can't go wrong, even at a NAPA they are over $40 each

I agree with you I talked to some people whan I did the headers, they told me that the coils we have from Ford are some of the best ever made no reason to change them!

You are mistaken, I said they will work because I currently own the MSD COPS. Personally I don't have any track times or LM-2 readings to compare the differences. I was looking for a COP that would add more spark to prevent
    spark blowout at high boost.

    http://www.superchargersonline.com/content.asp?ID=11

This paragraph is at the bottom of the link.

    Conclusion

When you decide to convert your vehicle to any type of forced induction system, it is very important to remember that:

    1) a cooler spark plug is a MUST in order to prevent detonation
    2) reducing the spark plug gap prevents spark blowout

One final way to enhance any forced induction system is to upgrade your ignition system to a CD, or Capacitive Discharge ignition. A CD is a box that takes the normal spark plug signal (one spark at a time) and turns it into a multiple spark distribution (ex: MSD Ignition) setup. With this setup, the solitary spark signal is transformed into 10 high-speed sparks at the same duration. The CD box tells the stock computer system to instruct the coil to make 10 sparks as opposed to 1 big spark per interval. The major benefit is that this is all done in the same amount of time, and with the same amount of energy, as a standard spark setup. The spark lasts a little longer to make sure that it fired properly - the true secret to enhancing your vehicle's performance.
