Wiper arm removal for wiper motor replacement

How do you get the wiper arms off of their studs? I've got to replace my wiper motor, and I don't want to tear anything up trying to get the wiper arms off.

It looks like once the arms are off, there are just a few screws and clips holding the cowl cover on, is that correct?

    Hard to explain.

Look first to see where the little tab is at. Just below the hinge pin, toward the top of the car. Use a little flat blade screwdriver to slide it out from the arm after raising the arm. you'll have to raise the arm as far as it will go, stick a rag between it and the back of the hood to prevent scratches. When the tab is slid out, there is a metal piece which prevents the arm from going back down against the windshield. Then just pull the arm off the stud. Be careful, or the keyway will be lost. I glued mine in place so they wouldn't drop off when I put it back together.

Unplug the wiper motor electrical plug and disconnect the washer hose right next to the electrical plug.

Take out the phillips head screws (I believe there are 6) and pop off the metal clips holding the cover in place, pull the two push-pins out then take the cover off. Gotta bend the ends a little bit to get it between the hinges.

Then pull the bottom part off. There are 5 or 6 8mm headed screws holding it in place.
