    Suggestions on mounting Chin Spoiler?

I have a chin spoiler that I am ready to mount (not sure of the brand as it came with the car when I purchased it)

The plastic push in plugs/mounts look like a sketchy way to hold it?

I was thinking stainless bolts etc. I would appreciate mounting suggestions to avoid it blowing off on the highway later.

Mine has been attached with plastic 1/4" push rivets for over 10 years with no problems. Even survived multiple 120+ MPH passes at Charlotte Motor Speedily.

Would you rather lose a $75.00 part or a part made out of unobatinium?

That does make a lot of sense now that the bumpers are no longer being made!

Good point, if I drive over a tall curb I would rather peel off the spoiler without further damage, thanks.

Buy long shaft plastic rivet from any FLAPS.

The plastic plugs that come w/it won't cut it but are got for initial positioning. The stainless hardware is the way I went and it has never come off at any speed.
If I was doing it again I would look into double sided foam tape to prevent any gaps from opening up in-between the bolts - that or use more bolts!

mine looks wavy :-\. did you guys start mounting at the center? or did you go about mounting by starting on one side and working your way across? Also, did you guys mount the ends flush to the bumper?

I pushed the front towards the bumper as the spoiler is more round than the bumper

Start in the center. The ends should be even with the wheel well openings.

Find the center of the bumper and mark with painters tape, do the same with the spoiler, match up the tape marks.
