    Hey, I'm ready!

Zack, PM me with directions, or give me a call on the cell phone.

Hey, Marauderboy, you still gonna come out and play?

I got lotsa stories from the Carolina Marauders meeting last weekend (i.e.)to share with you, plus Zack has us hooked up for El Cheapo Blue Moons (the Official Beer of the MM Blues Brothers), not to mention other wild and crazy stuff.

BLUES BROTHERS QUOTES OF THE DAY:

"You are such a disappointing pair. I prayed so hard for you. It saddens and hurts me that the two young boys whom I taught to believe in the Ten Commandments have come back to me as two thieves, with filthy mouths and bad attitudes. Get out... And don't come back until you've redeemed yourselves... " (Bradley G. commenting on last weeks get-together with Zack and SC Cheesehead)

"Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don't fail us now." (Zack's final words as the tree was counting down last weekend)

"Bring me four fried chickens and a Coke." (SC Cheesehead's dinner plans for tomrrow night)

"Uh, Bob, about the money for tonight. Oh, yeah, $200, and you boys drank $300 worth of beer." (Bartender commenting on Zack's tab for Blue Moons, Thursday night, St. John, IN)

Blue Moon, a Belgian-Style white beer (witbier) brewed by the Molson Coors Brewing Company, was launched in 1995. Originally called Bellyslide Belgian White, it was created by Keith Villa, a brewmaster at Coors Field's Sandlot Brewery (the onsite brewery owned by the Molson Coors Brewing Company). The beer is a three-time medalist at the World Beer Championships (Gold-1995, Silver-1996-7).
Blue Moon is a somewhat typical example of a Belgian white ale. The beer is orange-amber in color with a cloudy appearance due to the fact that it is unfiltered. It is also spiced with coriander and orange peel in addition to the hops found in most beers. Blue Moon does have a more pronounced orange flavor than many other beers of the style. The grain bill for Blue Moon includes malted barley, white wheat, and oats.
Some weiss and hefe weiss beers are served with a slice of lemon. Blue Moon, however, is traditionally served with a slice of orange, as it is said to accentuate the flavor of the brew. Keith Villa of Molson Coors admitted the orange slice garnish was mostly for attention-getting when Blue Moon is served in a bar.[2] Many beer drinkers do not prefer fruit slices in their beer, since citric acid can eliminate the beer's frothy, flavorful head, and may prefer to have the brew served in a Wheat beer glass instead.
Blue Moon is available in bottles and kegs. The brew has 171 calories per 12-ounce serving and 5.4 percent alcohol by volume. However, in Minnesota, Oklahoma, Colorado and Utah, the alcohol content of all Blue Moon beers is 3.2% alcohol by weight.
The back of the label reads "Brewed with white wheat and oats, Blue Moon features a crisp wheat finish and the perfect combination of orange peel and coriander. Bring out Blue Moon's natural spices by serving it in a Pilsner glass with an orange-slice garnish.

    The Morning After Update

Zack took me out for a tour of St. John last night prior to engaging in the evening's fesitivities.

Rode in the black car this time.

I'm pretty sure Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration was along for the ride.

Had a great time. Hung out at the St. John Pub. Lotsa Blue Moons, some wings, burgers (St. John Pub - now recognized as the home of the official MM Blues Brothers burger), watched Pinks on the tube, watched the bartender (sigh!), talked car trash; a good time was had by all.

Woulda stayed longer, but I think they ran out of Blue Moon, so heck with it, we went home.

NEWS FLASH! I'm gonna be up in Chicagoland again next week, so this COULD happen again!
