    Zack/Jerry Big Brake Question

For those who have gotten this done, how did you run the front hoses? I'm having trouble routing the hoses so they don't rub on the control arms when the wheels are turned all the way in the direction that brings their respective caliper closest to the control arm.

Post #898 has a pic of the hose leaving the caliper.

I was wondering the exact same thing yesterday!

That angle is too narrow, I can't see enough of the line. You have to monkey around with it so it bends into the right places so it won't rub. The factory hose isn't a good model because this SS hose is longer.

It’s hard for me to put in words.

I twisted it to pretension it so to speak. Don’t recall if I spun it 180 or 360 degrees.

Do you drive the car down the road at full steering wheel lock?

It was close, but not something I was worried about on mine.

If your super worried about it, zip tie some high pressure fuel line in that area.... to cover the braided line.

I know what you're talking about. I've been trying that, but can't quite seem to get it right. Some sections don't want to cooperate much.

Yeah, I have to be worried about it. I indeed have the wheel at lock often in bumpy areas. It's all low speed, but this kind of stuff always comes back to bite me in the ass in some fashion. If I can't get it right, I'll try your suggestion.

Load the suspension when you do it. Wrap the brake hose with fuel line and cable tie itbwhere it comes close or hits the control arm. Took me an hour to position both sides properly last car I did

I was thinking I needed to load it. But by time I got at least both sides done, I needed a break. I'll get some some fuel line like you guys were suggesting and load the suspension for the next attack on this.

This is one of those times where the steering lock being broken is advantageous.
