Stock exhaust with Magna Flo X-pipe with the 2 hi flow cats and shorty headers.
Not raspy at all on my car.
No power gain but love the sound.
Gonna ditch the shortys for Cobra cast iron manifolds.
Steering shaft hits header sometimes even with the motor mount spacer (don't like that).

What size shim? I put a 1/4" or 5/16" under both of Lowbucks engine mounts a few years ago on his turbo car with shorty's and all was well.

(came across some scavenger X pipe on sale in craigslist and wondering if i could possibly run this)

    Thank you.
If your Marauder comes up for STAR testing, you will fail with aftermarket hi-flow cats! The stock part numbers stamped on the cats is actually inspected.

Really?!? Cool, thank you for the information. Now I know, I won't mess with the cats and I'll concentrate on building the cat back

I looked into exhaust mods in CA 12 years ago, and other than louder mufflers there's no point. I'm stuck with low flow cats and small diameter pipe. If you can come up with something that gives a heavier sound and adds any HP at all, and is still CA legal I'm all ears.

Whatever I installed would have to unbolted and the stock pipes put back on every other year. I installed delete tips from Wes at Innovative Interceptors and left it as is; that did give a healthier sound, but not like some of the new mustangs I hear around here these days.

LMAO! That's great. But why spend anything? I'll just lean out the window and scream "VROOM VROOM!!" as loud as I can while I'm out and about. I may get a little hoarse, but I'm sure it will be impressive.

    Problem solved!
