    alternator

Does the pulley that is on the stock alt. need to be changed? Not talking about idler pulley that is reversed and mounted on custom brackets. I'm asking because I'm seeing a lot of alternators on ebay with what look like 6 rib pulleys on them that say are a must for swap..

Isn't the clutch pulley only on '04 Marauders?

    alternator pulley

To answer my own question, the alternator pulley shown 2 posts up is only needed if your crank pulley is 6lb or more. Not needed on stock,2lb or 4lb lower crank pulleys...I still wonder if a different pulley from stock is needed on the alternator to accomodate the 6rib acc. belt... Rex,you out there???

I don't recall Dave changing the alternator pulley, but I could be wrong.

Yes. You need to remove the pulley on the alternator.

Replace it with Alternator pulley f5az-10344-a Motorcraft gp-712

Call some Ford dealers and see if they have it in stock. May have to order it.
