The rear cylinders are known to run hotter than the fronts due to a miscalculated design. The coolant sits somewhat stagnant in the back of the head with no where to go, thus producing higher temps. The cooling mod works by popping out the freze plugs in the back of each head, installing a perfect fit piece and tying both sides into the heater system.
You can do it without taking out the trans, but it is difficult.
Ive done 3 so far. If you live close, I can help.

Zack, do you have a parts list and any pictures for this cooling mod?

    Thanks,

I just received my P.I. Stallion torque converter and Reinhart Automotive engine cooling mod from Dennis. Makes sense to do the install together, right? What do you all think a reasonable labor total would be for both installs? Thanks!

P.S. Dennis doesn't like to post his prices in the forums, he prefers you call (reach him at 904.276.5003 from 8am-5pm Eastern time)--also, I haven't picked up the cooling mod kit yet from my office, so I don't know what's included.
