    Fog Lamp LEDs

    Has anyone tried these bulbs?

Been thinking about seeing how well they work. For $40, it wouldn't be breaking the bank.

I've never seen these. Intetested to see if they will work.... I doubt it. Not liking the spade connectors.

I saw that, too, but figure I could get some insulated terminals wired with Weatherpack connectors that ought to do fine with the new wiring I installed. My biggest concern is to whether or not these will secure to the lamp housing.

I am interested in LED fog lights as well. What have MM owners used? Anyone have any pics with the product info?

I haven't found LEDs that are brighter than 35 or 55w HIDS.

Most LEDs require modification to the fog light housing. HID bulbs require slight modifications to work.

I am interested in LED headlights and driving lights because one of my work vehicles has them and they're quite brilliant and the light dispersion is similar to HID. The HID kit in my car has hi/lo and fog lamps and is a little over 10 years old. There seems to be a lot of justified opposition about retrofits in incandescent housing due to reflective characteristics and the legality of some colors. In my experience mine have a nice control of light and a defined horizon that does seem not blind oncoming drivers. I am curious about the performance of LED's and would jump on a total replacement to get rid of the old stuff that's been leading my way for 10 years. Here's a picture of my HID's to underscore the light output.

If anyone has an uninstalled fog light housing can you get the diameter and depth in millimeters and post them up.

It's not just the diameter & depth. It's the mounting that is different. The bulb needs to fit into a slot.

I understand that, I'm just asking for the external overall diameter and depth of the housing in millimeters.

Agreed. $40 per year for perfect fog lights is worth it to me.
