    Help Needed Asap!!!

I am having issues getting my Torque Converter seated.

    Here is what I need:

A picture of a PI TC FULLY SEATED.

Then, take a steal yardstick across the bellhousing at the center of the TC.

    PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!

If it's a PI TC then I hear you really have to hammer them on. Really tight fit.

They kinda give you a idea where the TC should sit relative to the rubber grommet on the bell housing.

    Exclamation TC to face dimension

Just checked mine Steve. From the face of the bellhousing to the face of the stud pad on my stock converter is exactly one inch. Haven't pulled the TC out yet, just unbolted it and slid it back when I pulled the engine. Hope this helps.

Dont make the same mistake I made, If you didn't seat the tc in the trans before installing it, remove it and do it over. The tc has to be seated twice. It has a two step which requires it to be turned once for initail seat and turned and wiggled to get final seat. If not you will play hell and possibly crack the bell housing(which I did).
