    master cylinder

Just wanted to post some FYI about master cylinder replacement. Unfortunately I recently had to have my master cylinder and booster replaced. I tried to save some money by purchasing a new aftermarket master cylinder. What my mechanic found is that the brake lines did not match up to the new master cylinder and the fittings were not the correct size. Bottom line if you have to replace the cylinder, get the new one from the dealer. It cost me about 60.00 more from the dealer and if I had known what I know now my car would not have had to sit over a weekend waiting for the correct part. I am curious to know if any one has had the same problem?
