    Marauder Adventures 2.0

So I've been back in the Marauder game since Feb this year after I sold (like a dumbass) my old Trilogy car in 2011. I bought this car from Ourobos in Bowling Green before his move.

It had already been Eaton swapped and tuned buy some local guys. I was enjoying the car very much until a guy decided to back into me at a red light one morning resulting in this:

After Jerry hooked me up with a front bumper and grille I started the body work.

And the painter thought I needed a different color of primer to help with blocking

After lots of sanding, filler, blocking and more primer it got a coat of base

    Then done

The car turned 200k on my way home from work one day

Then I started working on the grille

The roof was a sore spot on this car, it had chips and surface rust so I needed to address it soon. I started sanding and found it had been painted once before and there was rusty chips under the top coat of paint

This was after 1.5 hours and 10 sheets of 120 grit discs.

I work at a body shop and the materials don't cost me anything. Soda blasting is expensive in our area as we only have a few folks who do it.

Looks like you are doing a good job. Just a quick question are they putting in the paint additive for the bumper paint since it flexes so much? I had one painted and they did not use it so it is now cracking.

Looking good! I too am finally going to address my blistering roof this year. I've got an appointment to have an estimate done tomorrow.

Most good quality clears now a days are some what flexible, (when mixing with the proper ratio). Also, nearly all flex additive goes away over time. BASF, or R&M, made a flex agent that actually cross linked at a molecular level and did not go away over time. Mill thickness has something to do with it also, piling on the clear is not a good idea on bumpers.

Yes, we will use a little bit of flex additive in the base. The front bumper was cracked all the way to the urethane and so is the rear bumper. The only way to fix this is to sand / grind out the cracks and apply a light coat of flexible filler then prime and block.

This is correct. We are using a production clear by Sikkens (which I'm not a fan of the way it sprays or looks) but we are going to add an extra two coats on the body for buffing but nothing excessive.

I was reading through some MM for sale ads one day and ran across a guy who listed his mods and one caught my eye. 2015 Mustang GT LED Fog Light mod. I tried to contact him and never got a response so I started looking at the lights on ebay to get an idea if they would work. I ordered a pair for around $70 for the aftermarket version.

I had already been under the front of the car and noticed I had a broken fog light bracket so I ordered a new pair from Rock Auto.

I wanted to see how close the tabs lined up to the holes in the MM bracket

So I need to fab some brackets to hold it in place. The easiest thing I've used over the years is plumbing straps. They bend easily and are very cheap in a roll.

So after trimming and raiding the screw drawers I figured out a way to mount them

I will need to modify the wiring to adapt to the new light, but from just hooking it up to a battery I can tell they are much brighter and have a "flatter" light pattern.
