    Marauder market value going up....

Well here lately I seen the marauders that come up for sale on eBay, autotrader, Hemmings, and Craigslist are being priced at a premium. We all know these cars are desirable maybe collectible one day, but why the price spike?

Here is my 2 cents, nostalgia! There no more like it being built.
    • For the auto enthusiast, you always want to stand out from the pack. Who wants to just be another one of many? Every car show I go to, you see beautiful cars like mustangs, camaros, challengers, etc..... but there is 20+ other guys there with a almost identical car just different color.
    • Market, When something is no longer produced and in a way “cool” people will want it. Cool is never cheap , and if people say your price is crazy....well where else are you going to find one?! Example these Dodge demon owners asking $150k+ yeah it’s a lot of money but where else are you gonna go and get another demon, they are all sold! Won’t find one at MSRP. Same with marauders there is no new ones coming out or being produced. You ether have it or you don’t and that in my opinion is driving up these cars up in price.

So no matter if you have a daily or a garage piece, think your price well if you decide to sell. Car may be worth more than what you think. #Cheers

it's spring for a third or more of country so car season for alot has begun. cars come out and people want to join in. Unemployment is low, but what will hurt people is gas at over $80 a barrel. zo premium fuel is $3.50ish and higher

They’ve been on a slow incline for years. People for the most part actually know what they are the last few years compared to just ten years ago when even car guys never heard of it..

    Why the asking price spike?

Because people are off their rockers thinking these cars are worth 5-15 grand more than the comparable ones actually selling.

I had a small chat with someone asking $16,000 for a 75,000 mile marauder.... He said, only low ball offers and ZERO people come to look at it.

Me saying this does not diminish the value of any marauder, but some of the asking prices of these peoples listings is laughable.

Other side of the coin, car here on this site. 101K 30K put on it in the last 2 years. Forged motor, stroker, v3 blower, gears, tuned by marty. WAS $13,500.00 and now asking $12,000.00 obo... Car is nice. Lots of goodies.
If it was on ebay, someone else would be asking $26,500.00 and wont sell just like the other 2 he has for sale.

    Just my 2 pennies

Again, a false comparison far above re: MM collect-ability and value.

A 75,000 mile Ferrari, vs a 15,000 mile Ferrari at the same price? Really?

The 75,000 mile Ferrari owner can price however they wish... But the market is the market.

If a true "collector" we're to buy a Marauder as a collectible car, they would always buy a sub 30,000 mile "collected" perfect car... For a few thousand more.

They will never buy a car that was ever a daily driver... Nor a car that was stored outside, rained on nor driven down gravel dusty roads, or in snow or salt or anything else.

The difference in $$ between perfect and nice/clean is simply too small.
They will buy a perfect MM... One that was stored and loved and kept as new always.

Presently yes, I agree with you , but.... never say never. The majority of today's collectable cars were once daily drivers, many used in the snow, left out under trees and raced and beaten any time the opportunity showed itself.

I think people are asking a lot, not sure they are selling for a lot.

asking price and what it sells for are two different things. We dont always see or hear about tbe sold prices. That stuff is usually kept private, as it should, unless auction type setting where it becomes knowledge for future reference.

This is even true for collectible cars. In December I sold a roller Gn for 10 grand, and have been selling pieces off it for just as much and more.

How is it coming along? Haven't heard much about it.

The value is determined by what the seller and buyer agree on.

Price it high and your likely to hold on to it for a long while.

    Priced too high??
I don't think $19,000 is too high for a super clean Marauder.
