Car Show-Rutherfordton, NC Saturday June 7th

Hey guys, thought I'd bring this up as a possibility for a June get-together.

Small car show run by a local church group just outside of Rutherfordton, usually 20-40 cars and bikes. Entered the Bluesmobile last year, got lots of questions and comments.

A group of Mustang owners, and a custom truck (as in rebuilt mid-60's pick-ups with big motors) club were there last year. They'd love to see a few more Marauders, especially S/C'd (hint, hint Tom).

How 'bout it? Maybe 2 hours or so from Charlotte. I can PM or post up details if interested.

I'm on the road this week, and don't have all the paperwork handy, but I think the entry fee is around $15 - $20. Trophies and door prizes awarded. I think last year they had enough stuff donated for everyone to get at least one door prize, I ended up with two.

True, but if you decide to drive on over, you're welcome to come on down to my place afterwards for beer, brats and such, and can even stay the night if you wish.

Was just informed by my social director, aka wife, that we'll be in Wilmington celebrating her birthday that weekend, so unfortunately I won't be able to make it. Thanks for the invite tho.....

BTW, I've been checking the Southeast Mustang's website and there is still no mention of the the car show this year. I'll keep looking.

Well, I'll probably be in the RED LINE Beauty that day --cause I've had it with this gas crap and not driving it--BUT I'll be headed to and back from Asheville, NC for my granddaughters Birthday --according to MY social director--cough--cough---

Post up the times and specifics on location cause maybe--just maybe there is a chance of stopping by on the way back if its close in the afternoon--who knows---Tom

EDIT:--I looked it up on google map--its on 74 --so it is possible to come back that way--should be a fun scenic drive--Ms. M loves that!!
