    OE wheel question

    Hello fellow Marauder owners,

How can I tell if I’m looking at an OEM Marauder wheel compared to an aftermarket
Wheel?. Does the OEM wheel have a Ford
Part number stamped on the inside?
Anybody know what that # is?

I know Mustangs have a similar wheel but the center bore is different so it won’t take the MM center cap.

I know the OEM wheel is forged and lighter than the copies. Anyone know how much it weighs?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The OEM Wheel part number is 3W37-1007-BA. The authentic wheel will say "Ford" and will have the part number on the inside of it.

It is about 18 pounds if I remember correctly. You are correct, Ford made some Mustang GT wheels that look identical except the MM center cap will not sit properly.

    This will help you:

The mustang wheel and the Marauder wheel, both are forged.
The mm cap will fit in the mustang wheel bore, it just hangs out a bit

It is a Mustang rim that I bought several years ago (can't remember exactly when) from an ebaY® listing with the thought of using it as full-size spare.

As shown in the pic', the spokes and outer edge of the rim is bare, polished, and clear-coated. The rest of the outside of the rim is painted, high-gloss SILVER. The back, inside of the rim is unfinished, unpolished just like a Marauder rim.

The rim that I bought was a single, however, I've seen sets (4) of them listed a while ago. Don't know which year Mustang they were an option. If I remember correctly the # stamped on the inside was 8R3J-1007-A, but I need to dig-up the rim and verify that. *NOTE: the part # prefix would imply that it's a 2008/2009 rim.

The polished Mustang, Marauder-like rim was part of the 2008 V6 appearance package ...
