    Question High flow water pump

Hey guys what are the water pump options. I remember seeing a thread on a bolt on one that you guys gave a good report on. Who made it and the model number.

John, It's a Stewart EMP. I absolutely love mine. Better flow, cooler temps, less parasitic HP draw, no chance of electric failure.

Thanks Rich. My car is under full reconstruction now and that was one of the last issues. I bet that I will have about 25 more decisions to make before this is done!

is there any kind of evidence about the flow difference on 4v motors?

Only proof I have is an 8 degree cooler average as noted on Aeroforce gauges on back to back very similar days.
Measurements were taken on a fixed-length highway trip and on a 30 minute driveway idle before and after.
Biggest difference was at idle - nearly 10 degrees cooler. Highway run was about 6 degrees cooler.

Interesting, idle is where my car usually likes to get rather hot... gives me something to think about.

I dont know how a car can idle x degrees cooler at idle with a different water pump

When a car is parked with no airflow through the radiator, the coolant temp will always rise to the temp the cooling fan is programmed to come on at. Then it will go down 5-8 degrees, the fan will shut off, and the process repeats.

I have a Meziere on the KB car with NO thermostat and at idle, the coolant temp goes straight up to where the fan comes on, and repeats.

It may then be relevant that my fan temp is set at 190 and my stat is 180. I would previously idle in my driveway at or around 196. I now idle at 188 and can't get it to budge up or down from there.

In other words, I agree, Zack, but I think there's room between the fan temp and stat temp for improvement.

How many Gallons per minute does it pump at idle and on the high way lets say doing 55-60 mph? The Meziere Electric water pump pumps 42 Gallons per minute constent.
