    BFG KDW's Discontinued?

I stopped in for an oil change at the Ford dealer today and noticed that my tires are almost completely worn. The service manager said that he's heard that BFG is no longer making KDWs in 245/55 and that once the existing inventory is gone they're done. Has anyone else heard this?

You said it. Can't wait for the front ones to go bald so I can upgrade. Already got rid of the ones in the back.

Most of us have gotten tired of BFG's projections of when the OEM 245/55/18 would be available and found something else. I put GoodYear Eagle F1 GS-D3 255/55/18s on the rear back in March 2009. No problems with TC and they made the trip to Louisville, KY (4th Annual MM Regional) and to Indianapolis, IN (Marauderville 7) this year.

You can go all the way up to 285/50/18 on the rear wheels if you don't have traction control. Some of us have.

Not the same as our OEMs. Different tire and different performance rating as I understand the situation.

BFGoodrich Radial T/A 255/55/18 Service 102T are standard OEM on the 2010 Camaro LT. Its a $95.00 tire on special at $79.00 and doesn't have the same performance rating as the MM OEM BGF g-Force T/A. I think that the Camaro tire is limited to 118 MPH. Camaro SS gets a different tire. 20" too.

Tire Rack is showing our OEM 245/55/18 KDWS g-Force T/A in stock for $149.00.

with all due respect and I mean that I have a question. after reading this forum for about 5 months I have noticed a fierce allegiance to the OEM tire on our cars. why is that? my personal experience with friends around me that insist on keeping the OEM tires on the cars they drive has been to notice that those friends really know very little about tires and less about mechanical things. so what gives fellas, why the hoopla over the stock tire?
