    Fuseable link?? 68 LTD

Back on the road, but go to leave the office this afternoon, all electrical dead. Battery shows 12.18 volts with meter.

Does a 68 have a fuseable link, and if so, what are the symtons?.
    Where would this critter be??

"Resting fully charged 12 volt batteries are around 12.8-12.9 volts, and flat dead ones are at 12.0 volts, so 12.4 volts on a resting battery means it's about 50% charged."
    Most likely a dead battery.

Most times Ford's fusible links are in the alternator hot wire usually towards the fender apron. Symptom would be alternator light on and battery not charging.

Bat shows 12, what do the cables show?

Can you use the chassis ground and then tested remote start relay for voltage and it will tell you if your positive battery cable is receiving voltage through the cable. And then swap over to using the negative cable and check The voltage on the back of the alternator to see if your ground circuit is good.

Sounds to me like a battery cable issue and you could simply use a set of jumper cables on your own car to see which cable may be bad.

Don't forget, you can only test a fully charged battery,..

Fusable links a lot of the time are attached to the hot side of the fender mounted starter solenoid.
