    Dead fuel pump...?

Damn Joe, it’s been three years now??

I can’t believe how fast time slips by anymore. It’s been 14 months since my blower ate its own impeller!

Today, I fired up the Marauder with my freshly rebuilt OEM 4.6L short block.
Warmed her up, broke her in and everything was working properly.
She's still got the ported heads, extrude honed intake and Crower cams, plus the headers/exhaust..... and she runs like a scalded cat!

    I haven't driven the car in 3 years....but Ohhhh what a joy!

Sounds awesome....haven't heard a V8 howl like that in wayyy too long.

Maybe I won't sell her after all.
Congrats on getting the car back running!

I hope you decide to keep it, you’ve been here forever!

    balky pump

I have a similar experience. Pulled engine several months ago. Went to replace fuel pump, but tank was full. Put a bucket in engine compartment, where the line to fuel rail was disconnected, added battery...and nothing. Switched terminals & got a click. Went back and pump ran enough to empty the tank. Only problem was the pump made some horrible noises from time to time. Clearly, needed the replacement. My fear is that the intermittent pump made the car run lean and trashed the engine. Oh well, its only money.

I'm not sure...KBB doesn't reflect how rare/collectible the Marauder is.
They are saying that it is a $12,000 car.

    Yard art!

Seriously, I would rather dig four holes for the tires out front and make a permanent display than to give it away!

Joe, I am in the same boat, car has sat for 2 yrs plus with just under 3/4 tank of 93 octane (added Sea foam when I pulled the motor) fresh motor started right up but lost fuel pressure after about 10 sec., tried to siphon tank with no luck seamed like I was hitting some thing (baffle?) in the tank???? any advice on getting the fuel out of the tank, what fuel I did get out of the lines & filter did not smell or seem bad. I am planning to try and un-stick my pump??? like you described, this coming weekend, I hope this works.

Yes....it is a PITA to get a siphon hose through the curved fill neck and past the 'obstruction' in the tank.
I did get a siphon hose into the tank after a lot of trial and error, then siphoned out about 7 gallons of old gas.
It did not smell bad/ old/ nor like varnish. The old 93 octane gas ran fine in my 3.sl0w Ranger.....

I believe it’s an anti-roll device for spillage.
