I ran them yesterday at 35psi and they handled and hooked great!
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Drive them using common sense = no issue. In rain on interstate drop speed from 75 to 60, flash flood rain on I65 south of Indy on way to Looseville drop to 45/50, corner conservatively in rain - not like in rally race. No issues.

Going to get another set for new rims when I get them, liked them a lot.

Get what you want & have fun, OP!

    This^^

Just drive like a normal decent driver using common sense and there is no real difference with handling in the rain. If they were truly as bad as a lot of guys say they would not be DOT approved!

I bought some MT tires, Sportsman I think, for my older Crown Vic. Had trouble keeping air in one of them but that seemed to go away. Seems like a decent tire. My only issue was the website said made in USA but when they arrive, the tires say made in Mexico on them.
