Thumbs up Few pics from a this weekend's car show.

Despite the heat and humidity, it was time to hit the car show circuit again.

The car show was set up around a traditonal city square. Because of my late arrival, they just had me park in the road.

When's the last time you've seen one of these:

    AMC pawr:

Snagged a top 50. Not too bad considering there were over 150 cars.

The winner of the 1980 and up vehicle went to a brand new, unmodded Charger.

All of the pics can bee seen here.

    I believe so.

That Star Chief is the first one I've ever seen. It was immaculate.

My father had a blacked out SVO MUSTANG when I was a little boy...Car was wild! HE got rid of it because winter driving was nearly impossible with these cars...super light and the tires they put on them were great for summer but the worst in the snow and wet! NOT a ton of Horsepower, but I remember my dad blowing away 5.0s on the highway.

200 Horsepower and well over 240 ftlbs torque if I remember correctly.

Best thing I remember about the SVO Mustangs...Back when they were producted the feds wouldnt allow any car to have a speedo reading higher than 85MPH...SO FORD did a sneaky little thing and made a 140MPH speedo...but didnt label any marks after 85 with numbers, just got RED lines!!! LOVED IT! Great move by ford back in the day!

I think cars should be driven, not kept in garages their whole life. If you want to collect something, collect stamps.

That pic titled ENEMY you need to move the camera over to the left. I see that orange challenger sitting there. That would be my enemy.

it was an attempt to stop high speed driving and fatalities. many cars were even limited to 85 mph. it was sad.

governement thought it would help on gas mileage and lower highway fatalities, turns out better seatbelts, airbags, and crumple zone cars did that.
