Lightbulb 'Check Fuel Cap' and resulting MIL

Car still in a local shop. Threads concerning the recent issues in Shop Talk and Interior Electronics.

The 'Erratic Idle - Occasional Stalling' issue that started about 6 weeks ago seems to have been corrected with a new IAC valve installed. No codes - MIL thrown. Originally thought the problem was bad fuel as the issue started not long after a refuel.

Now, it's an ongoing issue with 'Check Fuel Cap' with codes thrown and MIL illuminated. Both the Fuel Vent Valve and Fuel Vent Solenoid have been replaced - issue keeps returning.

Local shop (I'm away from home) has now had the car 4 times, including the current visit. Car went to the local Ford dealer once before leaving home and they gave the car a clean bill of health, including the fuel in the tank at the time.

Dropped car off sunday night, shop unable to look at it yesterday due to being 'short staffed', 'first day back after the storm', etc. I'm ready to go home to survey my property for damage, along with a repaired car. Local roads are muddy so Marauder will get washed before putting it on the highway back home.

Take it to Mo's, what is he 3hours South? Get it fixed right. Wish Marty had a Mo's North shop.

Spoke to the shop not long ago and they stated the Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid installed just last week had already failed - replacement on order. 'Competent Techs'? It's often a crap shoot.

There are still some out there like me who don’t give a hoot about saving every last penny for the boss and insist the job is done right and done thorough. I try to make the company as much as possible as it ultimately effects my pockets, but I absolutely refuse to short cut anything..

Thumbs up Enjoyed My Automobile Yesterday!

Not planning on going anywhere today.

Put a few miles on the Marauder yesterday; first serious drive since it came out of the shop wednesday. First, check and adjust tire pressures. Take grandchildren to breakfast then drop'em off at school. Get car hand washed and vacuumed at local detail shop.

Drive to hardware store a couple of towns away to pick up an 'internet order'. Stop and refuel at the only fuel stop in the Columbia metro that retails 93 E0 fuel (4.389). All grades are E0 here like the solitary 93 E0 station over in Augusta. Drive back to the grocery store in Batesburg, SC then back home to my daughter's house at Johnson's Crossroads, SC.

I can truly state the Marauder is now operating at its Best ever, since I took possession in late March from the previous owner. Between Mo's Speed Shop upgrading various components and a number of sub issues that came up and have apparently been corrected I'm now throughly enjoying the Marauder. The term 'Automotive Harmony' kept coming to mind as I drove yesterday.

Previous owner of Mustang stated the Cilajet wiped on and off just like conventional liquid wax. Local Cilajet dealer wants $700 to $1400 to apply it - won't happen.

This sounds great. I might just go this route for both my Marauder and my wagon after they get repainted. Especially the wagon, since it sits outside, uses too much space in the garage.

Basically finished combining the Coyote PCM with the Marauder engine harness

Got the stock transmission crossmember to work perfectly with 6R80

And installed the bracket I made to utilize the Mustang Accelerator Pedal. (My mini saw broke mid way through and and I had to improvise) but it worked in the end.

Now I wait for my driveshaft.

Where is this item located on the Marauder if you don't mind me asking, maybe that's what's wrong with mine.

Broke the cars cherry at the drag strip tonight. My first time on a track in 10+ years.

Need to improve my launch and 60' though. Street tires and a race weight of 4600lbs wasn't helping anything.

I've often confused the two devices. The 'vapor purge valve' is on the firewall while the 'vapor vent solenoid' is mounted at the fuel tank.

Both sides after cutting spot welds, chiselling and sawing, sectioned

    remnants out

Have to wait for all the Por-15 to dry to continue.
