Exclamation Another tip from the master

For those of you with centrifical superchargers you might run into a problem sometimes. That problem being that the tubing will blow off can cause your car to stall. A few months ago I mentioned to check the clamps often to make sure they were tight.

Recently I discovered it's much more effective to tighten them with a wrench as suppose to a screwdriver. The screwdriver is good to get the clamp going if you need your other hand to hold the tube, but when you want it tight as possible, use a wrench. My blow off problems have now vanished.

Also when you tighten the piece that attaches to the throttle body, make sure you are tighening it in the center of the oval. The corner may look better, but it won't seal as well if you tighten it from the side.

I hope this helped some of you, but chances are you all already know basics like what tools to use for what jobs.

Thanks for the tip, been doing that for the last 30 years.

It actually did blow off on me once, now I keep a 1/4 ratchet setup in my console just in case.

Hairspray on the rubber connecters helps
You "feel" the difference because you want to "feel" the difference. Since you just spent money on the upgrade you "have" to feel the difference

I'm looking to eliminate the double pump process I have to follow right now to get the pedal hard

Stainless T-Bolt clamps. End of problems. I'm not that shocked by this, lots of people still use worm clamps on charge pipes, and use a screwdriver to tighten them.
