Nitto 555 G2 , Nitto Motivo's, Continental DWOS, for front??????

My tire guy agrees I should rotate the older like new front tires to my sons HPP.

Question is: Best tire for front of Marauder? No winter use at all on this car, and have Stock on rear.

Are the 555s better in the rain these days? At one time they were reputed to be as bad in the wet as Goodyear RSAs.

1Marauder- Sorry you're still working on this one, but at least it might sort out your son's car..I'd be giving thought to keeping the front/rear compatible, so it looks like I'd lean towards the Nittos.

I run 555’s on all corners, but I do not drive it in the rain. On the rare occasions I have, they are down right scary. If mine were a daily driver year round, I would not have 555’s.

I run the NT555 G2 in 255/45 size on the front. I run the NT555 265/50 on the rear. The 265/50 is not available in the G2. The G2 is better in the rain.

I really like the new Michelin Pilot A/S 3+. They stick really well.
They have a better sidewall for our heavy cars. I like them much more than my Hankook Evo's.

    Huh, interesting!

I really liked the first generation of those on my previous Panther, although they did wear fast when AutoXing. After those I got some of the 3+ and I absolutely hate them. For me, they're now too biased towards Winter use, driving more like a typical All Season compared to the earlier ones, which drove more like Summer Tires. Definitely *not* tires for near-limit use IMO.
They even make the differentials on an AWD application act funny under hard cornering. Upping the psi to near-goofy levels helps a *bit*, but they've simply changed that tire too much for me..maybe I was just spoiled by the earlier version.

For ages the Michelin Pilot A/S was my standard answer to "what tires?", but no more. Glad you like them though, shows how different people/cars are different.
