    Overheating

Just started noticing my temp gauge climbing up almost to the H almost 3/4.
Funny thing is I replaced my t-stat last year around this time. Fast forward a year later and it’s doing the same thing. I believe my mechanic put the oem t-stat. I don’t think it’s the fan because it does turn on and blows. Don’t thing it’s the water pump either as I have a Stewart emp. Only 2 things I can think of is t-stat or radiatior.

It usually happen when I let the car sit and idle for over 10 mins with temp above 88 degrees. When I put the car in drive and accelerate that’s when the temp gauge goes up. I haven’t seen it go up when at idle on park.

Anyways ima replace the t-stat and put motorcraft gold coolant. I don’t know if I should get the motorcraft gold 50/50 or the full concentrated coolant ? What do you guys recommend?

Burp the COT and make sure the fan is running.

Get the air out of the upper heater hoses. Park on a incline nose up and fill and squeeze the hoses. Fill from the cross over tube.

I've always bought full strength and dilute with distilled water.

Next time it overheats very carefully touch the bottom hose, if it's cooler that the top hose then you have a thermostat issue. That's how I managed to isolate the problem with mine, I doubted it was the tstat since it was new from AutoZone duralast brand, it turned out that's what my issue was, few weeks later another member had the same issue after using said brand.
