How can i run a wire from the Engine bay to the inside of my car

I want to run a wire from the Engine bay
to the inside of the car. Is there any pre made holes in the fire wall.
If so where would it be located. ??

I figured I ask before I went tearing up the carpet looking for one.

Instead of looking from the inside of the car, inspect the firewall from the engine side, from under the hood.
There ought to be at least one 2" or so round grommet on the passenger side, somewhere around the blower motor. On the drivers side, there might be a big rectangular one, about 2" X 4" maybe.
That's what my '94 MGM had - the MM might be different.

There is a grommet above the gas pedal and near the passenger side kick panel.

If all else fails - go to a reputable stereo shop and have the proper size hole drilled and grommeted. It may cost you a $10 tip.

If you look on passenger side floor board. you will have to pull back carpet to see firewall. there is a rubber seal with a wire coming through it. I drilled a small whole n the rubber and used a coat hanger to push a wire through. it did not mess up rubber seal at all. push wire through starting from the inside. it will bring you beside engine right up to battery.

Make sure you fuse that wire at the battery end, otherwise it will become a big match stick if it ever shorts.. Just a heads up..

Just run it through the door jamb, around the hinge and tuck it under the weather stripping. It'll be fine!

I like to use the hole for the hood latch release.
