    rusted crossover tube

Got my Marauder last week (Maryland car) and have been going over it checking for anything that needs to be addressed. Two items that I have to take care of are (1) the steel crossover coolant tube has a major rust issue, located 1 in thru FOMOCO, only 1 in the US for $290, still looking for something a little cheeper. And (2) ac will not come out dash vents. Other than those 2 items everthing is ready to go as soon as I get my tags, (waiting on paperwork).

Try calling Tousley Ford for the crossover tube and tell them you want the "internet price". They didn't have any in stock when I tried to order mine, but told me when they would be getting more in. At the time it was a two month wait for me.

COTs are a rare item, not sure you'll find one much cheaper.

Bad o-rings in your EATC head are causing the issue with the A/C. Send fastblackmerc a PM, he can get you squared away.

Just take it off, sand it (or sandblast) and paint it. Or is it too far gone. Also remember to put new orings on the ends before installing.

Good time to total drain the coolant and refill.

Be sure to follow this procedure to refill: http://reischeperformance.com/refill.html

You can always go with a Xover delete kit from On3performance , a bit of rerouting hoses, and modding the lower hose is required though.

+1 just clean that bad boy up! If you need to get rust out of the inside get some rust dissolver then powder coat the inside.

Well he did say "major" rust issue, there may not be much left to sand!

Major rust on tube !,,I got lucky and ordered a used one for $160. Will powder coat this one and go with new O-rings. Thanks for all the re-plys, I will work thru these small items one @ a time. The biggest problem so far is posting pics on this site !! One thing at a time ! On the other hand the interior and exterior on this car are near perfect, 219,000 miles. The lady who had this car must have weighed 60#, and wore gloves. Another note: my wife is in sales and stopped in a shop in Franklin Ky, and there was a Marauder in the lot. She went inside and talked to the lady getting her hair dyed blue. She was 84 years old and her 2003 had 23,000 miles. ,!!!
