    Transmission shudder....

The blue beauty sat in the garage for the winter and is now out for some enjoyment. When accelerating up through the gears (smoothly not stomping on it) I am getting a little transmission shudder/shake going into third gear. Transmission fluid is at correct level and color. Doesn't happen all the time - but a bit erratic and concerning.

    Some thoughts, please.

How do you know it's transmission shudder (more correctly torque-converter shudder) and not a misfire?

Drive it for a few hundred miles.

Have your transmission fluid changed....new Mercon V should correct
the problem. After time transmission fluid wears out (electronic)
transmissions requires fresh fluid approx every 30-40K.
    Hope that helps.....

    Thanks for the input, guys.
Will do a fluid change -
Not sure about misfire - would think I would get there in other gears, as well. Engine seems to run fine.

A misfire issue can be load sensitive so that si a bad assumption to make. I would start by looking at the potential misfire condition unless the car is due for a trans fluid change anyway.

    Just my two pence.
