He means, if you were running a 10.03 or 9.05, etc., then you'd be looking for that missing HP to break in to the lower bracket.

Haha! Nice, just saw the previous pic.

A quick update. So it always bothered me that it was down on power below 5K rpm. Finally hooked up with Jordan @ Modular Head Shop and told him the whole story. His first comment was, "the cams are ground wrong". Said he's seen it time and again and that usually they were about 5* retarded and did not match the cam cards. For a recap, when I'm on the transbrake, it would take *forever* to get up to 5000+ rpm into the power band where turbos would spool. Jordan recommended I advance the timing and see what happens. During the tear-down, I found that the passenger exhaust cam front cap was galled and there really is no fixing this. Hmm. Another call to MHS and ordered up their best set of heads/cams for my build and decided I didn't have a lot to lose by just advancing the cams and put it all back together. I took the opportunity to upgrade the secondary tensioners and chains to the Accufab setup and then had the big cam gears modified to advance them 5*. Also upgraded to Shelby Mike's billet chain guides since I was this far down. First time on the transbrake, it took only 3 seconds to spool those turbos. I fixed the oil leak I experienced at Dragweek 2021 on both turbos that kept me from competing, but SickWeek was coming up in February so I wanted to be ready.

Long story short, I did get registered for SickWeek but backed out because of the Covid spikes in Florida. The new heads have shown up from MHS and they are gorgeous. The new shortblock from MMR should be here soon, so I expect even better numbers on the dyno this spring.

    Cheers!
