    Interior Paint Discontinued :-(

PM-19M547-4149H has been discontinued for a while now from FORD.
    (Dark Charcoal Grey)

Has anyone found a similar replacement shade in a rattle can?

Zack, check with LoTek in Durham N.C.
They just did the triple gauge pods for our A-pillars and they spray painted them the matching Dark Charcoal color.

I have a can of Motorcraft Interior Spray Paint "Midnight Black" which I used to spray my kickpanels with when I dyed them. It's a pretty close match.

Zack -the paint that Ford shows for our interior did not really match very well. Not sure if the batch was wrong or what. I know I searched through a couple of different colors to get one that was almost a perfect match as I was painting my gauge pod. I will check tonight and let you know the color we found that matched.

Thanks. I matched a pod perfectly years ago with a grey base and a black haze over the top.. Who can remember what I used though.

There are dealers around the country that have this on the shelf. The closest one to you, Zack, is Evans Ford Mercury in Carrolton, IL.

MM traded in 8/9/13 @ 128909 miles. It was fun for almost 8 years. I met airmercpun on 1/17/14. He was the new owner of my former ride. -Now gone.

Update: back in the game with a late build 03 GMGS with some MM add ons like Escape audiophile radio w/Sirius sat radio, rear sway bar, catback exhaust, and header panel.

See my garage file for part numbers and whatnot.

IMHO, this site- the members that I chat with- and the ones that I now Hang with- are like my 2nd family. There is such an ongoing welcome feeling here that even members who don't or no longer own the MM can feel.

    HI Roy,

I have bought that paint # from Ford before and it does not match our interiors. It is really dark and it is off. I grabbed some extra interior pieces out of a wrecked cv and praticed on them and this paint did not match up well. I found some other paint that is almost a perfect match and I will post it up tonight.

There is a guy in Bridgeview, IL that was able to get the interior paint for my vic when i needed it, as well as exterior when no body shop could (I had my front lower bumper resprayed and planned on having other paint matched parts and apparently it was a rare color).....

But anyway, the place is called
    Harlem Auto Parts & Paint

Might be worth a try.... I know he puts stuff in cans.

I just thought I could help a friend and member here get what he wanted, regardless of the outcome. If you have a Ford part number, let me know And I'll see if there are dealers that have it available.

    Thanks everyone.
I know I can have some paint mixed up and have a shop locally to do it...just dont want to spend the coin they are gonna charge.

...and thanks Brian, Im aware of the parts locator system and may use it to my advantage.
