Actually the yard car.. A couple of weeks ago I bought a John Deere LT160 on the ultra cheap cheap and went to town with the buffer. Turned out not too shabby for an 02’ to ‘06 model (VIN tag long gone) owned by a farmer who no doubt didn’t concern himself with cleaning it..

I installed the mulching deck yesterday and my GOD that thing sounds like a mix of well oiled twin turbos, 60” shop fan, and possibly a huge shop vac! And not one blade of grass was missed even with the horrible blades that I tried to sharpen! This tractor is easily the best built most solid, and straightest cut mower I’ve ever owned with perhaps the cheapest price of $380..

I only bought it to move my car hauler in and out of its parking spot maybe twice a year and to mulch leaves come fall but with a tiny 42” deck I might just use this machine I leu of the pusher on my postage stamp lawn.

The only issues I’ve seen is a cracked side wall leaking a little air in one front tire and a mystery oil leak under the shroud I’ll have to address, and the wrong model sticker on the replacement hood. No biggie there..

The Marauder saw a few miles running errands and such. Still get plenty of compliments every where she rolls! After all these years it still blows the wife’s mind just how many people strike up a conversation every time it’s out.

That's a clean little John Deere!
I've got to find a new riding mower for my Father-in-law....he's not very nice to his mowers and beats the snot out of his big Kubota.
He's got close to 50 acres and insists on maintaining and cutting at least half of those acres!

BTW: Must get the correct sticker....want to make sure that everyone knows you've got the BIG 160 model....
Stickers are important....get more of them and put a big '77' on the hood!

Looked at it while removing the vacuum pump from my service truck. Lost power assist for the brakes backing into the driveway last night. Waiting for the rain to stop so I can finish installing the new pump.

Just bought 2 new fuel pumps, an fittings, an fuel line, Y-block, bulkhead assembly for the fuel hat to wire the pumps separately, check valve for the fuel line from the second pump and a Honeywell 5 psi pressure switch to set up my second pump up for boost activation. Started installing my KillerChiller and built brackets for my transmission cooler and fan.

Just pull the driveshaft. 4 bolts. Pop old out knock new seal in. Reinstall the driveshaft. Pretty simple.

Drove it to the beach and back last weekend. Didn't miss a beat. Got many where ever we stopped.
