    2016 Ford Explorer Sport

Just purchased a used 2016 Ford Explorer Sport with the 3.5 Ecoboost engine.

Wondering if anyone with one of these engines has purchased a tuner from SCT Flash or Diablo or other brand.

Is there a real seat of the pants improvement?

I have never tuned an Explorer but the 3.5 EcoBoost in the F150 wakes up substantially with a tune so I'd think the same would apply to the Explorer.

I have a tune from brewcityboost.com on my '14 Flex Ecoboost. They use SCT hardware/software and do remote tuning via data logging. I'm pretty pleased with the performance. Tuned for 91 octane, It'll break traction on all 4 tires on launch with the T/C turned off. My wife dd's it so it's not tuned to the ragged edge, but is definitely stronger throughout the power band.

EDIT: Other places that I considered going with that have had positive reviews: Livernois Performance and Unleashed Tuning. I may still try a tune from Unleashed in the future.

I've owned this 2016 Ford Explorer Sport for about 3 months now. It's fairly quick from a stop or slow speed, but it seems to fall off at higher speeds.

It seems weird for a twin turbo engine to have more horsepower that torque. 365 HP/350 TQ. Or did Ford do that to spare the transmission?

A friend has one and he went with Livernois. It woke that beast up. I think he around the 450 mark for HP and torque.

I have a 3.5 in my f150 but am still under warranty, so. I tune for me yet.

I hate to admit it, but I almost like the Explorer better than my Marauder. The Marauder is more of a show stopper though. Lot's of black Ford Explorers around. Not many Marauders.
