Driving down to Spartanburg, SC tomorrow to look at a low mileage (61k), nicely equipped, low priced Mazda 6 Touring Plus for my daughter. As luck would have it, a garage I'm familiar with is within the same zipcode and will inspect the car for me.
Photos look great but it has a salvage title and it just switched hands legally (to the now second owner) within the last week. Several recent trips to area Mazda dealers to check the electrical system. Was well maintained before it was in a major accident a couple of years back in Georgia.
Report is showing the airbags weren't popped but car was towed. Second accident for the car. Was even at a local Mazda dealer here in Charlotte within the last two weeks to have the electrical system checked. Carfax states the car is worth $6700 retail if immaculate (with salvage title) and $3100 wholesale. Owner is motivated, so yes, I'm curious.
