    03 with blown connecting rod.

Im selling my 03 that I bought new. Had an incident over the weekend on vacation and had to come home. Took the car to the dealer this moring and got the bad news. They want 6 grand to put a new engine in it. Im gonna look for something else. Its got 90k and some change on it. Its my daily driver so its no show car. Its clean and still runs. I have some extra rims and tires and other parts that I'll throw in the deal. Asking 4500 but its negotiable. Maybe sombody that does engine work or whos looking for a project can use it. Im heart broken but what can I do. Thanks, Frank. P.S. we make a deal I MIGHT give you the jacket that came with the car.

Find a salvage engine and stick it in there for waaay less than $6K. There's plenty of wrecked MMs around.

Yeah I just called a guy in Nc who has an engine posted here. I dont think I want to go through the hassesls of the swap. Im not a mechanic and it seems like alot of work. Im gonna get a Challenger or a SRT Magnum and live out my old age. This car has been a blast but I cant justify 6k to wife.com.

    Isn't distance a *****?
The dealer is no help. They dont want to talk repairs, they just want to replace the part and bang you out for all kinds of labor and a inflated parts charge.
Are you sure its a rod and nothing minor?

Hey reddog69, does the car still run?

If it does it will make shipping costs much lower.

Yes it still runs but I dont want to keep driving it. Im gonna go get it 2morrow and park it. Ive been given some options just not sure if I want to spend the cash. Ive wanted the Challenger since they first came out. Might be the way to go. Thanks for the help and suggestions.
