Interesting comments, the GN and GNX has already held a special place in auto history, will the Marauder also hold a spot "equal" to the buicks or just noted in history?
I know you all love your car's but can you give a realistic answer? I as an owner and have my personal feelings but have not set the standard ( as if there is one).

And I love my Merc. But far from scary.

Re: the Buick G N and/or G N X...one of my college frat bros had an '87 G N that would absolutely spank my '78 T A 6.6 WS6 4 speed (which had headers and a super tune) even when I was running cheater slicks back in the day...I have timing slips someplace around here in the very low 13s and this rascal would be two/three car lengths on me before we got to the lights...that G N time must be in question for sure

No, a stock GN really did run 13s, tested by many magazines. It's super easy to get them in the low 12s / high 11s though

I for one do not think the MM will come close to the following or appreciation of a GN. When the GN first came out, although I couldn't afford one, I looked at them often and most folks said they wouldn't be worth beans since they were an American car with a 6 banger. Lots of people realizing they are wrong now aren't they. And yep its a bad looking car.
