Then I guess the engine may be salvageable since there was no evidence of coolant in the oil on the dip stick, and no holes in the block.

That’s why I always post it for all to see.

I'm with you on that, double edged sword, leave it and the parts may get crushed or go on a car that is not a MM (which I am ok with but I can't help wondering how many of those cars end up in the yard with MM parts and nobody know it and they get wasted). But I too have left MM specific parts I don't need as I am sure there are plenty of folks around who could use the other parts. I have only found 2 MMs in a junk yard. I'm sure there were more but those are my results.

If one of you guys go back and the ABS module or drivers door panel is still there I'd take it if you were willing to ship it to Chicago. Thanks. I do not need either but would not mind an extra one of each.

Buying the whole car on day 1 might have been an option to resurrect. Far more worse 60'ies muscle cars were brought back to life.....Crying shame to have it *****, all MM deserve dignity......

Ahhhh...I'd try to find a way, and I realize that you can't save them all but, I gotta wonder, a car with this pedigree how does it end up in a pic & pull.... Certainly in my opinion who ever bought and owned a MM knew it was special...I have seen a couple at Copart Insurance auction that were in bad collisions, thus giving a reason for being there...So many ifs......
