    Black Emblems?

K, I've done searches, I've emailed emblem shops/sites (including CAR Motorsports) and still haven't found what I'm looking for, so I have to ask... is there nobody that has the god's head emblems in a black finish?? Whether that's powder coated or anodized or whatever. Just curious because I know I'm not the first to ask or search for something like this.

I've already talked to a local coating shop to see what they can do with the emblems from CAR, still... just curious what inputs, leads or experience you guys have had for something like this.

Also, I'm new to posting so don't judge me if this is in the wrong spot.

most people paint them to get the blacked out look. I have never seen commercially avail. ones unless custom.

That’s a good idea; my CM ones look a bit weathered, but I’m still able to polish them up.

But I have the badgeless chrome grill (a good concept at the time but a mistake, should have got the black) and silver SS inserts in the back, so they match the theme.

if the emblems are aluminum, then you can look into having them anodized..Powder coat will lose the fine detail most likely

I was wanting the one's off Car Motorsports (https://www.carmotorsports.com/prodd...rauder_emblems) but instead of all chrome, I was thinking like an anodized black instead, so the actual head is still shiny while the background is more of a matte type finish. The way they come is just too much chrome for my tastes, but I love the emblem itself.

i don't think you can partial anodizing, better off using model paint and model brushes to paint background leaving godshead and outer ring polished.

I was thinking vehicle wrap...I recently had the hood of my wife's SS convertible carbon fiber wrapped, and it looks great. They can also apply the same technology to just about any surface, including wheels.

for those interested in an update on this, I found that Duplicolor actually makes a chrome black-out kit. Keeps the shine of chrome but just darkens the tint. When I get around to ordering the emblems and "shadow chrome" I'll post pics to see how it turned out.

I have a full set of pewter badges for the front, rear, and the steering wheel. Does anybody have recommendations on how to remove the original badges. Thanks all

The grille badge just unbolts. The rear badge uses double-sided tape. Remove with nylon fishing line as a "saw". The steering wheel one I think you'll have a hard time. Most people just stuck the replacement over top.
