    Day #2

Greetings from Robbinsville North Carolina.Left Seymour Indiana around 8:00am,First stop Waffle House in Louisville. It was everything good and bad that comes with going to one is.From there it was off to Knoxville where we stopped at Hooters for lunch. From there it was off to do the Tail of the Dragon. What we didn`t know was that 129 IS the Dragon and from Knoxville we went over 35 miles of turns and switchbacks until we got to Deals Gap.You could not ask for a better day with no clouds and temps in the mid 60`s Plus the fall colors were just past there peak but wonderfull none the less. The down side to this is that were in a dry county .Were around 130 miles from Commerce and it`s all back roads but we have all day to get there tomorrow. How long did it take y'all to run the dragon? The overlook to "the store" is the normal run. Mid-week is perfect, the bikers and road racers are usually there on weekends.
Thanks to Darrin @ BC Automotive:
$1800 and it was worse than when he started!

We came in on it through Knoxville and well before the overlook and there was lots of great road.It was only when we started seeing more bikes that we figured we were already on it.

This is were the fun started. Paul is on his way home this morning and I am sure he has a lot more to post up. If you have never met Paul you have no idea about what you are missing. Paul is a great friend and I am very proud to be one of his. He spent the entire trip taking pictures and video. Paul also did a little drinking, I think I will let the others talk about that.
The run thru the Dragons Tail is a riot as you have to spend all of your time driving. There is no time to sight see. If you ever go to give it a try make sure that you do more than the 11 miles of it as there is a lot more twists and turns than those. What a great vacation, you guys need to get out and go the events and meet the people and have a good time.
I lost in the second round of the race but was pleased with my car as the best time I ran was a 13.53 at the track. What a riot.

I just checked the gas milage and we went over 1739 miles and did a lot of side trips made 13 passes at the drag strip and the car got 17.59 MPG. Thats not bad for the places we went. To bad the Vodka didnt last that long.
