The Marauders use the 4th generation alternator also knows as 4G the correct regulator is Motorcraft part# vp6l8u-10c359-aa. I've rebuilt a couple for people as long as you have the correct regulator you are good to go. Bearings brushes, regulator and lastly the rectifier is what fails.
Geez, another thing I had no idea about. I would have just bought a new one and figured it would be like the OEM with no issues. Mine is still OK at 115K but will keep this in mind.
I saw that nice bling 250 amp knit someone posted here a few weeks ago, but that’s probably overkill for my car.
