    Trunk organizers

I looked at everyone's trunk organizer at MV10, hoping to see what my lids are supposed to look like...come to find out, m y organizer is different than all of the rest of them. Mine has three part numbers on it...

    F8VJ-19A428-AA
    F8MJ-19A428-AA
    F8AJ-19A428-AA

There is also a Mercury symbol molded into it, it has four movable dividers (different looking then the ones you guys have) and it has velcro in three places on the driver's end of it like it should have a top....

I have not found these numbers online...any ideas???

I bet its like mine. I'll post a picture when i get to work. If its what i am thinking of it is the golf bag organizer. Has three plastic dividers and should have a big plastic piece to lay one or two golf bags on.

Here is what I got. My part number is different, but its got the Ford Logo stamped on it not the Mercury so that may explain that. You can see the Velcro on the left hand side also.

Here it is with the dividers removed and the golf bag holder in place.

The golf bag organizer didn't have lids.

I made lids out of 5/8" MDF covered in trunk carpet.

You can stand on my lids... can't do that with the lids of a real organizer.

Man, If I was gonna be keeping my car I would probably see if I could borrow your dimensions or see if you might be willing to duplicate a set of covers for me. That has been my biggest gripe with this organizer since I got it. But I am most likely gonna step up to an SUV here soon.

    Curless,

The Golf bag insert is fairly flimsy, I had mine stored in my garage and managed to crack it in during the winter months. I never used it once, LOL I'm not much of a golfer.

    BTW .....

If anyone is considering making their own lids, the flush handles in the OEM lids were supplied to FoMoCo by southco.

How do I know ? When I bought mine in 2004, one of the handles got broke in transit. FoMoCo didn't offer -just- the handle so based on the info' on the handle researched (and ordered from) the source/supplier.
