well / Gents, another great CTRLRaven Production from his R@D department /The General M has since the 70's made good handling cars but FOMOCO cars hold up in the long run and ride better and Ford constantly upgrades and improves on their engine engineering. The GM is still using the same engine block foundation for years [cost and research savings to Rob the public]..there is nothing wrong with the recent Gen3 and up small blocks but its time for the General to update their tech dept, 'Just my opinion ,please take no offence GM crew..
    Roger that

These head to head tests always leaving me wondering. First they never put the same rubber on the car and that can make a huge difference in well, everything. Second I never understand whether the packages are as close to each other as they can. Is a Mustang GT the same as a Camaro LE1 trac pac? It is confusing for me as each car has multiple iterations and I don't always feel like the reviewers pick apples to apples.

As far as this review goes perhaps the Camaro handles better at the track but if it's uncomfortable to sit in what's the point to the average buyer? After All not many of us track our cars so being able to sit in a comfortable car for hours on a trip or sitting in traffic seems more appropo to me.

Let's see what plays out when the Mustang track cars hit the market then see how they compare.

Thanks for posting the review Chris.

I thought it was a great review, what it tells me is if I am interested I need to go try both cars. Rarely are two cars that close together that they will have the same tires, brakes, etc. You can't expect that. They were testing two cars with handling packages from different manufacturers - of course they will be different.

Ford has better engine's? not sure I would agree with that eother - again just different, just cause its an old platform doesn't mean its bad, wrong or not significantly improved.

Gotta admit that the Camaro sounded much better than the Mustang....

But, once again they compare apples to oranges.

Let's run a 2015 BOSS 302 (if FORD decides to make them)
    against the Camaro 1LE.

BOTH are each manufacturer's 'Track' set-up cars.

Also....I keep gagging at the sight of the Camaro's taillights!....

Is Honda aware that Chevy is buying 1997 Prelude taillights and mounting them on new Camaros??

The 1LE has always been about better handling since 1988. Not surprised one bit that it handles better than the Mustangs performance package. And the wheel package on the 1LE alone is worth the cost. The way it fills up the wheel well looks fantastic. With the new redesigned front and rear facias on the Camaro and the 1LE package. This is a real winner. Throw a little boost at it and you would ALMOST have the best of the Z-28 and ZL-1 wrapped into one car.

The camaro definitely seems the better bang for the buck, there's just something about it that doesn't do it for me.

I guess since I would buy one for daily use, the Mustang is more appealing regardless of price or track abilities.
