Catalytic converter issues

Hey guys could use some help on cat issues I have. My marauder blew a piston and the oil spilled into the cats. Mechanic showed me the cats full of oil. Piston was fixed and cats need to be replaced. Are aftermarkets just as good as oem ? 300 for the aftermarkets versus 700 for oem. Just wondering if anybody had problems with aftermarket or any other ideas would help. Btw just bought the car and loving every moment behind the wheel.
