yes, everything stock.
I would suggest going to the dealer. There have been some comments on the board regarding the occational axle bearing problem.
Good luck.

Cabbage usually does it to me.
Does the pitch or volume of the whine change with engine or vehicle speed? If it changes with vehicle speed, it could either be differential gears or axle bearings. If it changes with engine speed, it may be trans or engine related and just sound like its coming from the rear. 8.8" axles are know to have poor bearings - at least on Mustangs. Thats my guesses.
I had the same problem, the issue was resolved after I replaced the rear transmission seal.

Drive to Team Ford of Marietta...ask for Scott Levin...let him drive/hear the noise...consider yourself fixed when he gets done.
Bada bing, bada boom.
Mine starts to whine at about 5000rpm-almost sounds like a S/C. I think it is common and transmission related from what some of the other guys have posted????

Yes, that's exactly it. Does this have anything to do with the TSB regarding the rear axles?Mine starts to whine at about 5000rpm-almost sounds like a S/C. I think it is common and transmission related from what some of the other guys have posted????
Todd, where is Team Ford located in Marietta? I took mycar to Billy Howell in Cumming (5 mins from my house), but I'm not quite sure about them. They are an SVT dealer; does that mean anything? I've read your raves about Team Ford, which means a lot to me, but I dread driving to Marietta, especially if I'd have to leave my car.
One last thing: if they have to work on the rear end on a warranty/TSB deal, woukd they be cool with putting in 4.10's?
Thanksagain for all the help, you guys are great!
I get the same winding sound after wot and I have had the rear bearings replaced under the tsb and have 4:10's.
I remember seeing a thread on this before, but I can't recall what the consensus was.

FYI, put Susan's 300A in for the rear end whine. Got so bad you could bearly talk and hear. Brought a copy if the axle Silent Recall from the blue oval site with me. They took it in with no qualms at all, and of course, it was the axle bearing and axle. Now, the only problem is the axles are on back-back order, due to the failures. They are now being shipped directly from the vendor as they get made. Car has been in the shop since Monday, and there is no set date for the part to be shipped other than "any day now". So if you are going to put your car in to have the rear end checked, see if they will get an axle in first (or check availability) so you don't sit in the shop. Word to the wise.
