    43 years and counting

January marks another year of ownership.

Bought my 1964 Galaxie in Jan, 1969, with 46,819 miles.

She now has 214,145 miles with a fresh 390/300 motor installed this year.

I can still remember that cold night in January 1969 bargaining with the owner (final price, $750 including a new valve job).

Who would have thought that 43 years later, she'd still be mine?

That's awesome! I'm going to be 25 years old in February. I purchased my 1972 Galaxie 500 when I was 17 back in 2004 with 88,000 miles. I hope to have a story like yourself down the line because that car isn't going anywhere! Is it possible to see any pictures of your ride?

Congrats long time, but I can bet it only seems like a short while ago...

I bought a '64 Fastback in Sept '68 but I paid $900 for mine, sold it in the summer of '74 to my ex's father... I have my '69 Cobra Fairlane I bought in March '73, seems like was only a few years ago...

I bought my 1969 Buick GS350 in 1971. I still have it 40 years later. I'm on my third motor. Great car!

    Look at it this way.

If you bought a 2003 MM new, you will have owned the car 43 years in the year 2046.

Kind of puts things into perspective.

I'd like to hit the magic 50 year mark.

    Fifty would be cool...

Bought my marauder in '10, fifty years ownership would put me at 110, got my doubts on that one... My current goal with the Fairlane is 40 years(March '13), then we'll see...
