Arrow Gives New Meaning to the Term: 'He Bought the Farm'

Happened locally yesterday. Speeding biker hit the rear of a tractor trailer semi. Bike is wedged under the trailer and is dragged down the road as the driver didn't realize what had happened. Dump truck comes along and runs over the biker laying in the road, finishing the job. This guy's number truly was up - sad.


CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
A motorcyclist was killed in a car crash in southwest Charlotte Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the incident happened in the 10200 block of South Tryon Street.

At 4:19 p.m., officers responded to a crash where a motorcyclist had been struck.

Upon arrival, officers located a badly-damaged motorcycle, a motorcyclist, a tractor trailer and a dump truck that were involved.

Medic pronounced the motorcyclist dead on scene.

For me, 50 years of biking (operating myself) this year. One accident at 16yo put me in the hospital and changed me forever. My doc doesn't want me to ride but she won't request NC DOT pull my NC DL Motorcycle 'endorsement'.

Began alternating often between a walker and a cane 3 years ago although I often use neither. Auto accident 7 years ago first put me on a walker/cane during recovery. Stock images of my current bikes below.
