Cadillac has a neat option for that. It shows heat vision on anything 500 feet ahead of the car on a heads up screen.to bad we didn't get that kind of an option

I remember someone on this site talking about it in his MM. The htread discussed the legality.

I was in a line to get into a track for Mid Nite Madness. Bumper to Bumper. This guy in an SUV kept blaring his train horn. Every time he hit it I wanted to fixs it so it would never work again.

I called the track because the announcer over the radio was celling classes up. I convinced the track to postpone and set a separate line for racers. We found out a major accident resulted in the delay.

I too had them on one of my old cars in NC, and yes when you go by them they will look right at you. Which is a lot better than spooking them into running in front of you. I thought the reflection from the eyes were dog in a field until I realized the dogs had to be 3' to 5' off the ground. For what Deer Whistles cost and what they are supposed to protect against, the money spent is worth it, IMHO.

No one around here uses them anymore. At one time every one had a set. They just don't work. I've seen way too many deer damaged cars with whistlers on them to believe they do anything.

Just slow down during rut and pay attention.

I hit a deer a couple months after getting the Marauder.
I put two whistles behind the grill, on both of the Panthers we drive.
It does not appear to "startle" them, when I see one.

Our jeep has them, err one. One broke off. The deer dont respond differently at all. Deer horns work as well as the tornado.......
