Stevo, check the following link. You'll have to prove limited production. I can't find any info on what the limited production number is.

    Steve,
Some of the Impala guys have collector plates. I believe you have to provide some documentation and also restricted driving. Like parades, shows and the like.

Mike, when we were out in Chicago earlier this month, Zack started it for us. Remember the Simpson's episode where Homer designed a car for his half-brother?

"And when I start the engine, I want it to sound like the world is coming to an end!"

    That was Zack's car...

What Stevo speaks of is that in Ohio, for many years now, "COLLECTOR PLATES" have been available in Ohio. Completely separate from what we also offer, "HISTORICAL PLATES" FOR CARS OVER 25 YEARS OF AGE, these plates are for limited production autos and such. Ohio has a list. If you're not on it, your'e out of luck. Most folks going the COLLECTOR PLATE route in Ohio, do so because these vehicles once plated in this fashion, are now excempt from any futher emissions inspections.

I have have seen every POS imaginable with those plates around here, all serving the same purpose. No e-checks. I once had them on a 1980 Mazda RX7.

I am not sure, but I think the plates may be no longer available as a result of abuse.

Yup...these are the plates I am speaking of. When we were at the Track, several guys had them, including the Green F-Body (Anthony).

Got to admit...they WOULD be nice
