I thought last year's 'magic number' was 20...and we just barely got that...22 or 23 orders, IIRC.

It was 20 last year. I was referring to Rich running the 4" only since there wasn't much interest in the 3.5". Sorry I wasn't clear.

I'll have two 4" sets too. Even if we can't get more than 20 orders (which I doubt) we'll sure get a couple of orders from other websites like CVN and Facebook groups.

so by looking at just this page we already have about 15 pairs of 4' and yea the 3.5 isnt gonna happen i can tell you that now, didnt happen last year with only like 8 sets and im sure it will not hapoen again this year

even if I can get an account set up I don't know if that will expedite the process. If you go back & read my quote from Rich he says he doesnt want to take orders too far in advance. I mean I'm fairly certain we've got the numbers to make this happen. I just don't think it will be any time soon.. According to his email late fall or December

Hey guys, bumping this thread.

I went through the pages and made a list so we can for sure see where we are at. Please keep yourself updated on the list if you are joining or no longer participating in the group buy.

We need at least 30 pre paid sets of tips. We have a bunch that haven't said whether they want the 3.5" or 4" tips. At the moment we have no interest in the 3.5", so if we can focus solely on the 4" tips it would allow the group buy to go that much smoother. If you are not decided, please update yourself into the size you are interest in.

Also, would it be ok if I were to post this a link to this thread in other Panther platform forums to gain more interest in this group buy?

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but last year the pre-orders took place in October and the tips were shipped in December...that's how they do it based on their work demands/schedule/etc.

Also, this year the per-order mark to hit is 30, IIRC...not 20 like last year.

I actually went back to the very first pages of this thread and got a good picture of how things went down last year. Pre-orders had already been going on for at least a month before I discovered the thread and jumped in before the deadline.

For those wanting an idea of how this year's run might go down, I suggest you read the first 8-10 pages of this thread...

Fair enough just an observation (in error I guess). I'm hopin for a set tips and I've been on here religiously since I found the thread. I'll keep the faith and stay postive and hope the 20 other folks do the same........get on the list people and commit to a set its a fantastic upgrade!

:up: It's too early to be worried. We're not even in the window for ordering yet. I'm sure Cone Eng. will follow through on their plan to put out feelers starting in "September/October"as they stated in post #188 (below). The fact that we already have a pretty long list of interested members is a plus! Prolly once the OFFICIAL Cone Eng. thread on the tips goes up and members know it's do or die time, the number of orders should pick up. If history repeats, the tips will be delivered by Christmas. :)
