I dropped my Marauder off on 3-1-04 at Reinhart Automotive and picked the Marauder up on 3-5-04.

I started researching in November '03. My goal being while Naturally Aspirated have a daily driver that is used to make sales calls that can run the 1/4 mile in the mid 13's and 0-60 mph in the low 5's on street tires.

Reinhart perfromed the following mods;
1) Cobra Exhaust Manifolds- Ported & Ceramic Coated, X Pipe & High Flow Cats
2) Built Trans- Forced Tailshaft Lube, Hardened Output Shaft, Perf Clutches, Laser Cut Seperator Plates & Spiralocking Clip
3) 3,000 RPM High Stall Torque Convertor
4) B&M Deep, Finned Transmission Pan w/ Drain Plug
5) Larger Tranmission Cooler with braided lines
6) Head Reverse Flow Coolant Kit
7) Larger Fuel Filter
8) KVR front 2 piece cross drilled brake rotors with performance pads
9) Dyno Run and Air Fuel Ratio.

My driving impression is the performance of my Marauder has far exceeded my expectations!

From a dead stop hitting a Wide Open Throttle it spins the tires to the point of having to have to back off or she will go sideways. Hitting WOT from a 5 mph roll she lays rubber, lays rubber on the 1-2 shift and chirps on the 2-3 shift. This while it was 77* w/ 60% humidity w/ 28psi in the rears.

The off the line acceleration and the acceleration above 5,000 RPM's has been dramatically improved!

Late last nite I took her on an Interstate type road that is frequented by muscle cars ( there was a race in front of me between a Pick Up and a Camaro and a race behind me between a Mustang and a Corvette ) because it begins with a stop lite with one entrance and then a 3.5 mile run to the next on ramp. The acceleration from 60mph is scary fast in that you look down and the century mark has well been passed.

The brakes are impressive, firm, good pedal feed back and excellent cold bitting!

I will be honest in that I did not initially plan on doing the brakes. Because I do not regularly drive the car hard and only plan on the 1/4 mile track about 6 times a year. But on my way to Reinhart Automotive after having breakfast at the IHOP a car pulls right out in front of me (less than a 1/4 mile from Reinhart Automotive) and I jam on the brakes. I barely stopped in time and it was my first panic stop in the Marauder in over 1 year of owning the Marauder. This experience changed my mind because I realized it's not how I am driving the Marauder that's important it's how other people are driving their cars that matters. After testing new KVR brakes on the high speed runs I am very glad I did the brakes.

Upon my arrival to Reinhart Automotive I tell Dennis Reinhart my rear treads are almost completely worn down on the center treads. As I am leaving and getting into the taxi Dennis says he will take the Marauder to the Tire shop to have new rear tires put on and check the front end alignment.

I have carefully inspected the quality of the parts and installation and they have exceeded OEM standards.

My Dyno run shows a WinPep SAE Corrected Max Power 273.4 and Max Torque 294.0 with a consistant AFR of 12.

Before my trip to Reinhart Automotive I detailed the car inside, outside and the engine compartment . I got the car back in the exact same cosmetic condition. Absolutely No scratches, dents, smudges, hand prints, shop dust or grease spots, none.

A friend of mine who has a Marauder with Reinhart chip, shorty headers, under drive pulleys, rear sway, Denso Plugs, Thermo Stat, 4:10 gears and MMX Dirve Shaft came by yesterday. I could not leave the house so I gave him the keys to mine to take for a run, (suggested to him to leave the keys to his Marauder). He came back and said it has totally transformed the Marauder. He would swap me for his plus some cash. Now he is a fanatic about his car and it is in like new condition being garaged kept as a "sunday driver".

I told him make sure you are going straight when you floor it or the back end may come around. When he came back he said he floored it from a dead stop, but backed off because of the tire spin. When he drove it was 85* and 70% humidity!

I am extremely happy with the car and the performance has exceeded my expectations. :D :D

My only problem is traction, I don't have any! :lol:

I now have a constant smile on my face when I am driving my Marauder! :banana:

(While I was at Reinhart Automotive they were installing a new Cobra motor that was "built" with Vortec Super Charger in a new Marauder, installing a Vortec Super Charger on a new Mach I and fine tuning on a Marauder with a Vortec Super Charger.)

Friday night I took my MM to Denton Dragway 1/8 mile strip. Earlier best was 9.68 at 75.9. Friday, after the installation of Dennis ceramic shorty cobra manifolds & X-pipe, I ran 9.47 at 77.4. Both times ambient was about 50 degrees. Can't wait to see what the new 1/4 mile time will be!

Any chance you would share how much all this cost? Always looking for new ideas. I like to compare price to performance increase when doing a mod. You can PM me if you dont want to post in the forum. Thanks...

Does anyone have an idea as to the cost of all this? Sounds like a road trip may be in order....

Yeah, Dennis got me in on a DIY KVR group buy: 14" front rotors, cross drilled and cadmium plated with matching stock sized rears, aluminum oversized stainless steel sleeved front calipers and custom caliper carriers, carbon fibre pads all around and stainless steel braided hoses. All for a low price. Call him for your own very special price. No modifications neccesary, it's all a bolt on w/expertise the only requirement.

Car stops on a dime now and gives me 8 cents change.
