The reason I'm asking is say a guy wanted to do an eaton swap, wouldn't it make more sense to use the M122 and adapter setup than the M112 even if it was ported? The stock bottom end won't support the full boost or either one but why not have the better efficiency of the M122.

If you don't mind spending an extra 650, yes it would.

    Yes sir imho.

Retain d/s inlet and not spin as hard.

So $650 less the cost of the extra labor for the port if you went that route and less the headache of swapping to a p/s inlet.

This thread now has me gidday again for forced induction. An Eaton swap required too many mods and I was not excited to move the battery and fuse block.

It's actually an old thread. But since acquiring an m122 I was just wonder what has happened since it was started.

Looks like price went down to $600 for the adapter kit.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Do we follow proper etiquette and remove the 5.8 numbers? Leave the SVT though.

When I was looking into this way back when I found that the GT500 M122's could be had for fractions of the going price for a Cobra M112.

Higher demand for M112's and smaller amount built.

Allot of GT500's built, and a high percentage of them upgrade, few applications can make use of the M122 - at least without this adapter - which resulted in relatively low prices comparatively.

Not sure if the pricing is still the same now tho.

Makes the M122 route even more of an option.

As you can see with RacerX excitement flashing through the screen this is the real benefit of going this route, getting a blower that can compete with a twin screw, out performing the one its size and not being too far off from the bigger ones for the price they are going for is an all around win. A reminder though you MUST delete your egr when going this route

Seems as if someone beat you to the punch RacerX, I would remove both though.

    I drool over this one.

I'm also in the process of seeing if I could maybe get a certain throttle body cable bracket altered or just simply modify it myself to allow me or anyone for that matter that is using a m122 to delete the adapter and bolt the throttle body directly to the plenum only options though are mechanical throttle body which share the same bolt pattern with as the GT500, so far that is either a SCJ throttle body, VMP 168mm throttle body or Whipple's Crusher throttle body.

I wonder if someone would be willing to make a direct bolt-on kit for the Marauder. I thought the ADTR Vortech kit was the only option for supercharging now. Looks like there may be another choice.

    Can a stock bottom-end Marauder handle a M122?

Nobody is going to make a kit for Marauder any longer, too few left of potential buyers. ADTR kit is a pieced kit, meaning he does all the leg work to make it fit a marauder. It can be done alone if you are ambitious, Eaton swaps M112, VMP etc..still require piecing it together thru new and used parts.

A stock bottom end (rods and pistons being the weak link) based on what's been done is the 425-450 hp area. some have gone more and some have gone less. A lot of it has to do with the tune and how far on the edge of it you go.
